Great Southwestern Construction President Bob Agnew Retires, Brandon Lark Named Successor

Great Southwestern Construction, Inc. (Great Southwestern), a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc. (MYR Group) today announced that the company’s president, Bob Agnew, has retired. Agnew’s decision to retire brings to close a remarkable career of more than 30 years of continuous service to the company.

“It is with both sadness and gratitude that I acknowledge the retirement of Bob Agnew,” remarked Rick Swartz, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of MYR Group. “Bob has devoted the past 31 years to Great Southwestern Construction, beginning his career as a Groundman in January 1983. Since then, Bob held many positions within the Company including Estimator, Project Developer, and General Manager before being promoted to President in 2003. He has seen the Company expand from a small family-owned business, through its integration with MYR Group, to its present position as a leader in the industry. Bob’s commitment and contributions have facilitated the completion of some very impressive projects,” he added.

Effective immediately, Brandon Lark has been appointed to the role of President for Great Southwestern. Brandon began his career with the Company as a Project Superintendent in September 2000. He held several positions over the next few years including: Project Developer, Project Manager, and Sr. Project Manager before being promoted to Vice President in 2008. “Brandon is eager to take on new challenges in his role as President, and I have sincere confidence that he will continue to propel Great Southwestern in new directions while carrying on Bob’s legacy”, Swartz added.
